The Boston Cannons defeated the Chicago Machine today to pull into a tie for first place. Matt Poskay scored a two point goal from behind the arc to give the Cannons a two goal lead midway into the first quarter. A 5-3 lead going into the second, long stick defender Jack Reid scored his first of the season.
Matt Poskay ended up with the hat trick this game as well. The Cannons held a slim 9-8 lead into half time, and the Machine tied it with the first goal of the second half. But Boston went on a roll to score nine straight goals by eight different players (Buchanan, Rabil, Smith, Poskay, Ross, Casey, Heim, & Boyle.) And that pretty much wrapped up the game.
