How big is college lacrosse? I'm curious what kind of attendance the games get. And where the players come from... it's Canada's national sport, so you'd expect plenty of Canadians, but we're mostly too busy playing hockey.
The college leval gets more of a following than the pros. The game is at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, and there is expected to be 50,000 fans in attendence for this game, where the average NLL game gets about 10,000 fans. Now, the stadiums are obviously smaller, but college lacrosse is pretty huge. Some players come from Canada, some USA. It is the offical summer sport of Canada, so when hockey season ends, I would expect they'd go to lacrosse.
