Paul Gait to the front office, K'Hawks search for coach begins

The Rochester Knighthawks promoted Paul Gait to Vice President of Lacrosse Operations today, emptying the head coaching position. The Knighthawks have had two disappointing years in a row, finishing 7-9 and missing the playoffs.
The K'Hawks now begin their search for a head coach. There was rumors of a fit with Darris Kilgour, but he recently signed an extension with the Buffalo Bandits. Dave Huntley was let go of the very disappointing Philadelphia Wings last week, and he may be an option.
A name that might be an option for them is Jamie Batley. He currently coaches the Perterbourogh Lakers of the MSL and coaches seven current Knighthawks players. He last coached the Toronto Rock and Chicago Shamrox in the NLL.
“Paul has spent his whole life in the lacrosse business as a player, coach and manufacturer,” Knighthawks owner Curt Styres said in a statement. “He has a lot to offer the sport and will help us with the front office in Rochester.”
