Mammoth trade Vinc

The Colorado Mammoth have traded Orlando Titans dispersal pick Matt Vinc and forward Matt Zash to the Rochester Knighthawks for John Grant and Mac Allen, reported by NLLInsider.
Vinc had been the subject of trade rumors for a few weeks, but I still cannot understand why. The Mammoth committed to Vinc in the dispersal with the #1 overall pick, when last year's MVP Casey Powell went second. I also do not understand Rochester wanting Vinc, as they have recently signed Pat O'Toole to an extension.
Grant and Allen will supply Colorado with a lot of offense, but Colorado's issue last season was not scoring, but goaltending.
There were also rumors of Grant being traded to Buffalo for rookie defenseman Travis Irving. Colorado has acquired Matt King from Calgary, but Colorado needed an elite goaltender in Vinc.
There is also the possibility of Rochester trading Vinc somewhere else with a bigger deal in the works as well.
This was probably not the greatest deal for both parties. Rochester loses their points leader in Grant, but Colorado loses their goaltender. But Colorado may have come out with the better deal after acquiring King.
More to come.
